Squidoo Lens

I clicked on here and seen that my blog had made it to a page rank 3. So you know just like a child at christmas I was very excited. My first thought was "more traffic, I must let the blogging community know." My next thought was, "other then my blog where could I go?" It did not take me long to realize the place I was thinking about could be none other then http://www.squidoo.com/ . I had placed a lens on squidoo along time ago about my blog, and then just left it. I had gotten constant messages in my email showing the lens of the day. Many had been sent to my email but never once did i see my lens come up. Funny thing about that is when I went to my lens I saw that I had never published it. It was ok though because I had just started it anyway and didn't really put to much effort into it. Regardless now I had a great reason to publish one. Simple fact is, a squidoo lens is a great way to promote your blog. Depending on your ranking on squidoo, as well as the groups that you surround yourself with on the site, it can become like a myspace page made specifically for promoting your blog, and we all know how the friend system works on myspace. Not only that, you can gain money off of adsense ads that squidoo places on your lens itself. Just like all the rest of my information, the site is completely free, and only gives the user room grow in their web ventures. Take a look it won't hurt. Great site to gain traffic

http://www.blogskinny.com/ is a site that I had registered with a while ago. It was one of the few directory of blogs. that I had actually gained some decent traffic back from. They actually emailed me everytime i got some traffic in from them, and from what I can tell they have no intentions to stop sending traffic my way. I did nothing but put there image on my blog and register so that they could get some people to come to their site and have had no problems since. when I first registered, they asked where did i want to be in their "Directory of Blog Directories". It is pretty simple to tell what directory you would want you blog to be placed in to to gain the most traffic. So that is what i did I placed it in the approriate directory and let it be. After about a month or so of being on their site they sent me a email about their new " Directory of Blog Directories". It said that if I write a post about it that they will give me 1500 free visitors to my blog. WoW! Now if that is not a great way to show appreciation to all faithful bloggers, I do not know what is! The main goal of this post is to let you know, go head and give blogskinny a shot. I am definately pleased with there standards.
